Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Family Lawyer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in family law, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to professional development. This position offers valuable hands-on experience, mentorship, and the opportunity to develop a rewarding career in family law.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in family law matters, including separation, divorce, custody, access, support, and property division
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, agreements, affidavits, and court submissions
- Attend court appearances, case conferences, and mediation sessions
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions and memoranda
- Manage client files from intake to resolution with supervision and support
- Maintain regular communication with clients and keep them informed about case progress
- Collaborate with senior lawyers and support staff to develop effective case strategies
Qualifications
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- 0-3 years of experience practicing law (experience in family law considered an asset)
- Strong research, drafting, and advocacy skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Commitment to client service and ethical practice

Pay: $67,066.37-$142,238.22 per year
