Job Responsibility:

Are you forward-thinking and always looking to establish better systems and processes? As a Workforce Planning Specialist, you will, be responsible for the creation and maintenance of distribution centre (DC) labor standards through motion/time study methodologies. You will support the maintenance, development, and implementation of the workforce management application. In this hybrid role, the successful candidate is needed to be in the greater Vancouver, BC area, where you will work 3-4 days per week out of the Langley DC and working remotely the rest of the days. Join our innovative team as a Workforce Planning Specialist! What you'll do:
  • Utilize lean techniques to drive continuous improvement in existing work processes.
  • Collaborate with the DC engineering team and center of excellence to analyze data and identify inefficiencies.
  • Regularly review the DC workflows to ensure labour standards reflect the required effort for each job.
  • Perform motion & time study to revise the labour standards.
  • Conduct weekly reviews of forecasted volumes for each job function within the DC.
  • Manage the UKG auto-scheduling tool as a DC admin to ensure all settings and rulesets align with scheduling expectations.
What we're looking for:
  • 1-3 years of experience in retail distribution (warehousing) industry.
  • 1-3 years of experience in advanced Microsoft Suite.
  • 1-3 years of experience in time & motion study and predetermined time system (MOST).
  • 1-3 years' experience in warehouse management system and workforce management applications.
  • Knowledge of lean six sigma green belt.
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or equivalent.
