Summary

We are seeking a Warehouse Lead to join our team at Sharpe Farm Supplies LTD. This role is essential in overseeing temperature-controlled warehouse operations space and ensuring the efficient handling of agricultural products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture or a keen interest in the field.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack orders based on shipping deadlines.
• Ship web orders via courier. Assist customer service in resolving any courier shipping issues.
• Receive in product from suppliers, put into stock, ensuring proper rotation.
• Ensure efficient use of warehouse space.
• Analyze inventory levels and assist in restocking as needed.
• Track expiries and reporting.
• Maintain housekeeping and ensure all product that is shipped out is clean and not defective.
• Work with the team to address and reduce shipping errors.
• Work with customer service and purchasers to reduce shortages.
• Supervise daily warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Train and mentor warehouse staff on best practices and safety protocols.
• Uphold health & safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 1 year inventory control experience (preferred)
• Experience in the equine and/or livestock industry considered an asset.
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work under pressure situations.
• Intermediate Microsoft skills required.
• Must be hardworking, a self-starter and a problem solver.
• Multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively, working additional hours when necessary.
• Able to work in a physically demanding job and lift up to 25kg in a safe manner.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
