Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Afternoon Shipper Receiver Supervisor to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be conducting regular shipping / receiving duties with the addition of supporting the afternoon Supervisor in overseeing shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment.
Primary responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and shipping documents
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment
- Ensure all products are handled safely and in compliance with company policies
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the shipping/receiving area
- Communicate effectively with warehouse team members, drivers, and supervisors
- Maintain compliance with safety, sanitation, and company policies
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned
Assisting with:
- Assist the Afternoon Supervisor in coordinating daily shipping and receiving activities
- Help lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff
- Ensure accurate receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods
- Address and resolve issues related to shipments, inventory, and documentation
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of warehouse activities
- Foster a positive and productive work environment
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in cold storage
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is an asset
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proficient with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Ability to work in cold temperatures for extended periods
- Valid forklift certification is an asset
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to work the afternoon shift

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
