We are currently looking for a Health and Safety Administrator to join Radiant and be part of our dynamic team.
HYBRID WORK MODEL: Work onsite at the Mississauga, Brampton or Bolton location at least three (3) days per week. Can work from home the other days.
SCHEDULE/SHIFT: Monday to Friday, 8:00-4:30 (30 min unpaid lunch)
TRAVEL: Must be able to travel to other locations within the GTA (Mississauga, Brampton, Bolton)
What You'll Do:
- Participate in monthly H&S inspections for all locations, including both warehouses and office locations.
- Conduct monthly fire extinguisher inspections at all Ontario locations.
- Assist in conducting monthly rack inspections.
- Assist in the investigation of H&S incidents.
- Follow up on outstanding action items identified during inspections and incidents.
- Maintain action logs and incident trackers.
- Maintain H&S training and certification records.
- Conduct H&S onboarding for new employees.
- Prepare monthly safety talks.
- Research external training programs and suppliers and assist with scheduling H&S training.
- Maintain current hazard inventories and risk assessments for all locations.
- Assist in conducting risk assessments as required.
- Manage content on warehouse communication screens, Company's Intranet, and H&S boards.
- Maintain Safety Data Sheet Inventory by conducting periodic audits, sourcing updated SDS's as required, and inputting SDS's for new products.
- Participate in monthly Health and Safety / JHSC meetings.
- Maintain the H&S Consumables list and safety equipment inventory.
- Administer the Safety Rewards program.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide recommendations.
- Other duties and assignments as required.
What You Bring to the Role:
- Minimum 1 year experience in Health and Safety in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word.
- Working knowledge of H&S legislation for Ontario. Additional knowledge of H&S legislation in Alberta and BC are assets.
- Dedicated commitment to providing superior internal and external customer service.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written form.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task.
- Analytical, accurate and detail oriented.
- Able to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
