HEALTHCARE TALENT ACQUISITION STRATEGIST, PERMANENT FULL TIME (HYBRID)

As the Healthcare Talent Acquisition Strategist, you'll work to ensure that the Health Human Resources needs of the professional staff, hospital and the community are met. You will be trusted to source, secure and retain talent

  • For hard to fill professional staff (physician) positions for both the hospital and broader community as guided by the Chief of Staff/Deputy Chief of Staff and Professional Staff Human Resources Plan; and
  • For hard to fill hospital based positions guided by the Health Human Resources Plan and the Vice President of People & Culture.

This is a role that will be perfect for a driven, personable individual that is looking to make a lasting impact on the community. You will work closely with Medical Affairs and People Services to deliver on this unique mandate and will report directly to the Manager of People Experience and Workforce Analysis. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading the charge in developing and executing cutting-edge recruitment strategies, including for professional staff roles, positioning our community and GBGH as the employer of choice within the healthcare landscape.
  • Proactively you will reach out to candidates to highlight opportunities locally and at GBGH that candidates would be a strong fit for.
  • Ensure community health is supported by partnering with local municipalities, community partners to drive the recruitment of family medicine recruitment and needs. This includes attending events for fundraising purposes, assisting in the transition to the community and general promotion of the community. A familiarity or demonstrated willingness to learn the area is vital to being successful in this role.
  • Ensure candidates are confident in their choice to join GBGH or practice medicine here! Provide a personalized recruitment and onboarding experience to provide a seamless transition for new hires and physician recruits that foster a sense of belonging and long-term commitment to our organization and community.
  • Cultivating robust relationships with academic institutions, professional associations, and other key stakeholders, positioning GBGH as a preferred destination for top-tier medical talent. Collaborate with the Volunteer & Student Coordinator to support medical learners at GBGH and ensure they return following graduation.
  • Support Department Chiefs with identifying needs and through the interview process for candidates.
  • Support Clinical Leaders with hard to fill positions within the hospital.
  • Overseeing the credentialing process for professional staff as new hires before transitioning renewals of credentials to Medical Affairs. This will likely include attending and facilitating the credentials meeting chaired by the Deputy Chief of Staff.
  • Serving as a brand ambassador for GBGH, fostering strong relationships with external partners and promoting diversity and inclusion at every stage of the talent acquisition journey.
  • Provide consistent reporting on the status of talent acquisition for each assigned position for all relevant stakeholders.
  • Delivering excellent customer service to internal partners, addressing their needs with professionalism and efficiency to ensure a positive recruitment experience for all involved.
  • Providing insightful reporting and analysis to inform decision-making and drive strategic recruitment initiatives, positioning GBGH as a leader in healthcare talent acquisition.

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE The ideal candidate will possess the following key competencies, record of experience and academic preparation:

  • Bachelor's degree required, in business administration, marketing, human resources, or healthcare administration or other applicable discipline. A combination of a diploma and demonstrated experience will be considered.
  • Previous experience in a talent acquisition role, with a proven track record of successfully sourcing, engaging, and hiring top-tier candidates in a competitive job market. Demonstrated ability to demonstrate and execute on strategy for recruitment for a hard to fill position from start to onboarding.
  • Completion of the CaSPR Core Fellowship within six months of hire.
  • Familiarity with the geographic area or demonstrated ability to learn a new geographic area and community to entice in demand professional staff to join the region.
  • Extensive knowledge of human resources and recruitment principles, including hiring regulations and healthcare professional licensing.
  • Proficiency in leveraging tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS, and passive talent pipelines.
  • Demonstrated social media savvy and website design to drive talent attraction.
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative, creativity, and accountability.
  • Proven track record of delivering strong candidate experiences.
  • Strong client focus with a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB).

People Services and Medical Affairs primary hours of work are Monday through Friday 0800 to 1600hrs. At GBGH, we prioritize work-life balance, valuing our employees' well-being. This may also include requiring flexibility to meet organizational objectives such as providing a candidate experience, attending town council, or travelling to recruitment events.
