Job Responsibility:

The Great College of Toronto is seeking a professional who will be responsible for exploring international student market in Asia, especially in Taiwan and China, analyzing and evaluating international student applications and supporting documents to determine equivalencies and admissions eligibility of students to Ontario Secondary School Diploma program (OSSD).

This position is expected to work on-site at the school and travelling to Asia;

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accomplish the specified and mandatory goal(s) metrics enrolment numbers
  • Provide information regarding programs, application status, and program eligibility to applicant
  • Research and report updates of overseas and domestic education markets to develop an effective marketing strategy and plan
  • Manage agency contacts and assist with agent requests
  • Assist with student attendance rates on a daily basis and ensure high quality student control
  • Organize and attend student orientations, education fairs and other marketing events
  • Collect feedback and remain in communication with international students and agents to update them about school news and events
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure student satisfaction and success

REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluent in Mandarin is preferred
  • Diploma in a related field from a publicly accredited institution is mandatory
  • Thorough knowledge of Private Career Colleges and Public Private Partnerships is an asset
  • Knowledge of educational systems and international secondary & post-secondary curriculums of other countries is an asset
  • Minimum two (2) year of experience in student recruitment, or two years of relevant work experience, including experience in a multicultural and/or international setting
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of using Microsoft SharePoint and HubSpot CRM is an asset.
  • Fluent in a language other than English is considered an asset, preferred experience with Asian countries' educational systems
  • Candidates from related positions: Enrolment and Admission Officer, Admissions Assistant, Admissions/Liaison Officer, International Admissions Officer, Recruitment & Admissions Officer, Admissions Advisor - are welcome to apply
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills are essential.
  • Access to a home work space, computer equipment, and reliable internet and phone service is required to support working remotely.

This position is a 12 months contract opportunity. Hours of work will be 8:30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. Some evening and weekend work may be required. Travelling to Asia will be required.
