Contract Duration: July – December

Location: Mostly remote (occasionally hybrid)

Venuiti is seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our team for a six-month contract. You will be primarily involved in backend development, working with a team of over 25 people to expand and add new features to the ongoing web systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web applications using Java Spring framework
• Work with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases
• Implement front-end features using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Collaborate with the development team to design and enhance system functionalities
• Ensure code quality and maintainability through best practices
• Participate in Agile/Scrum processes, utilizing the SAFE framework
• Visit the office quarterly for team meetings and updates.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Java Developer
• Proficiency in Java Spring, Oracle, PostgreSQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Familiarity with web systems and backend development
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Must reside in Ontario and be able to visit the office every 3 months.

Preferred Skills: Experience with government or public sector projects
