JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the Accounting Manager/Controller, this position is essential to maintaining our financial records and supporting day-to-day operations. This role will focus primarily on Accounts Receivable and will also assist with other accounting tasks such as Accounts Payable and payroll functions with the responsibility to support and back-up these areas.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include, but are not limited to:
- Process and manage Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll transactions.
- Prepare, verify, and process invoices and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage general ledger entries.
- Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Address and resolve any billing discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Assist in month-end closing activities.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and internal departments.
- Generate financial reports as required.
- Analyze general ledger accounts as required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Proven experience as an accounting professional.
- Knowledgeable in general accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and payroll functions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting software.
- Experience with NetSuite and ADP a definite asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- University degree or college diploma in accounting preferred.
- Five or more years experience in Accounting, including Accounts Receivable and Payable required
