Job Responsibility:

Description: Responsible for all aspects of facility building and Zamboni operation including ice maintenance, flooding, building maintenance, and janitorial duties.

Hours: Can range from 10-20 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements: Hands-on understanding of Zamboni operation, maintenance, and repair. All around knowledge of mechanical equipment and facility maintenance.

• A minimum of 2 years of previous training and operation of ice resurfacing equipment a must
• Working knowledge of ice making and ice maintenance
• Established attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and teach new skills
• Ability to accept and evaluate criticism on ice conditions
• Demonstrated ability to be a team player
• Ability to lift heavy objects of up to 20 pounds; e.g. bags of water softener salt
• Good communication skills
• Basic Computer knowledge
• Mechanical aptitude an asset
• Certified Ice Technician
• Must have a valid class “G” license
• Grade 12 High school or equivalent
• Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
• Vulnerable Sector Check required
