Pink Moon Cafe is currently looking for 2-3 new staff to join their small but amazing team! Looking for a fast, lively, fun, friendly environment to work in? Pink Moon Cafe is a Courtenay based food truck with a fun, approachable plant based menu, including a full coffee menu, daily rotating baked goods, bowls, burgers, and more!

We are looking to expand our team as we approach our busiest season (spring at the Garden centre), as well as a lively event season throughout the summer. We also have a second "sister" vegan food truck in the works, set to open late April. *All staff will be trained at both locations, with the potential to move towards full time hours once both locations are in full swing!*

Position #1: Prep Cook/Closing Keyholder- part time position to start (10-20 hours weekly), moving towards a full time role; flexibility in schedule is ideal!- shifts would typically be afternoons and evenings, weekdays and weekends- responsibilities include: prepping and assembling menu items start to finish, maintaining a clean (foodsafe) and organized, functioning kitchen (stocking for a rush, staying on top of prep as needed), running the doordash system, some barista / cash handling / customer service tasks (when working solo), performing daily and weekly cleaning tasks, closing up food truck (washing dishes / refilling fresh water tank / disposing of grey water / cashing out / locking up)- minimum one year experience working in a kitchen / restaurant related role is preferred

Position #2: Barista / Keyholder- part time position to start (10-20 hours weekly), potential to move towards a full time role for the right fit; flexibility in schedule is ideal!- shifts would typically be mornings and afternoons, weekdays and weekends- responsibilities include: taking orders, helping customers navigate the menu, cash handling, prepping and assembling menu items start to finish, preparing speciality coffees and smoothies to order, maintaining a clean (foodsafe) and organized, functioning kitchen (stocking for a rush, staying on top of prep as needed), running the doordash system, performing daily and weekly cleaning tasks- minimum one year experience working in a kitchen and/or barista role is preferred

Position #3: Barista / Cashier- part time / casual position (10-20 hours weekly); flexibility in schedule is ideal!- shifts would typically be late mornings and afternoons, primarily weekends- responsibilities include: taking orders, helping customers navigate the menu, cash handling, some minor food prep, preparing speciality coffees and smoothies to order, maintaining a clean (foodsafe) and organized workspace, performing daily and weekly cleaning tasks- one year experience in a customer service role or cafe environment is preferred

Although Pink Moon is a fully plant based business, being vegan is by no means a requirement. However, all team members must bring forward an interest and respect for the plant based lifestyle / cuisine. Pay is competitive/based on experience, and tips are an added bonus that make a big difference in your daily earnings. Perks also include daily staff meals and staff discounts.
