Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Assist in the planning and execution of daily menus, including special dietary needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling practices.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages to management.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
• Assist in maintaining equipment and utensils, ensuring they are clean and functional.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
• Ability to handle food safely and efficiently, demonstrating proper food handling techniques.
• Experience with meal preparation and cooking various types of cuisine is a plus.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
