We are looking for an upbeat and proactive Deskside Team Lead for our Edmonton branch, to support our Managed IT Services clients! In this role, you will leverage your technical skills and provide excellent customer experience, while building your experience and growing your career with Long View.

A Day in the Life:

  • Help build and achieve team goals by setting clear expectations and establishing deadlines
  • Share relevant LVS news to the team regarding wins, growth, direction, and strategy
  • Monitor team performance and escalate any people's issues or concerns to your manager
  • Communicate regularly and provide prompt feedback to the team on successes and areas of improvement
  • Encourage attendance in team building and company-related events
  • Review and approve time entry, vacation requests, expense reports, training forms
  • Recognize outstanding performance and achievements of team members
  • Diagnose and resolve incidents associated with application software and operating systems and determine the source of issues and classify their urgency, impact, and nature
  • Maintain inventory of installed software, manage software licensing and create policies and procedures for upgrades
  • Work with hardware and software vendors to assist in remediation of incidents, verify timely product delivery, and ensure that new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to end user experience and devices

What You Bring:

  • Experience leading and mentoring junior and Intermediate deskside consultants
  • Experience supporting a Microsoft environment in a Desktop Support Role
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 2010 / 2013 / O365
  • Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments
  • Willingness to track personal time billings and report them in a timely manner
  • Experience with remote support
  • Desire and ability to carry a mobile phone for client and/or for Long View Systems support
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
