Opportunity
MacEwan University is seeking an Information and Registration Assistant for a full-time continuing opportunity with the School of Continuing Education.
The Information & Registration Assistant provides frontline registration and information to the students, to the public and the MacEwan University community. Exemplary customer service is the primary objective with every transaction performed. The Information & Registration Assistant is accountable for contributing to the success of the School of Continuing Education.
Key responsibilities:
- Responding to inquiries about university publications and information materials, maintaining stock of publications and updates as required.
- Thorough direction and information dissemination both in person and on the phone to university, activities, events, conferences, workshops, seminars and room location.
- Preparing letters, forms contracts, invoices and other internal documents requirement for review by the supervisor.
- Handling registrations, administrative and miscellaneous fee assessments (Transcript request, Applications, Audit, Prior Learning, Challenge Exams, etc.).
- Completing cashiering duties, payment acceptance and daily reconciliation, and accountability of all transactions processed.
SKILLS
The successful candidate will have:
- The ability to use databases, registration systems and other computer applications.
- The ability to communicate effectively in emails and in person.
- The ability to handle multiple inquiries.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of a post-secondary Diploma in office or administration
- A minimum of two (2) years of previous experience in customer service, preferably in a post-secondary institution.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
