Purpose:

We are currently looking for a Junior Project Controls Cost Specialist to join the Worley team in Edmonton, Alberta for a site-based position.

Responsibilities:

• Development of monthly cost report and cost forecast.
• Set up and administration of monthly incurred cost flow.
• Setting of original budget and estimate recast.
• Ensure costs are tracked properly with appropriate use of WBS and CBS coding.
• Change management coordination.
• Consolidation and development of month end cost and progress reporting.
• Working at customer site as an integrated part of their team

Technical and Industry Experience:

• Experience in project-based cost management, earned value, cash flows, invoice support, and performance measurement.
• Project Controls experience working on EPCM projects.
• Working knowledge of Earned Value Measurement.
• Knowledge of, and the interrelationship of a good technical project scope definition, quality of the schedule and estimate, construction sequence and execution, procurement and contracting strategies, commissioning and start up.
• Understanding of cross-functional interfaces with engineering, procurement - materials & sub-contracts, construction, safety, quality, finance/accounting, and document control.
• Understanding of financial interface for expenditures, revenue recognition, invoicing, cash flow / cash calls.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence and relationship building skills.
• Proven review skills, as well as presentation and facilitation skills.
• Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
• Experience with P6 is an asset.

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

• University degree in engineering, business, or technical diploma.
• Industry experience in engineering or EPC projects
• Working knowledge on SAP and Primavera is considered an asset.
• Site-based oil & gas project controls experience is considered an asset.
• Computer literate in all Microsoft Office products.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
