Job Description :
Champlain College Saint-Lambert requires the services of an ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT AGENT CLASS I to work on a full-time replacement position in the Student Services department. Reporting to the Director of Student Services and working in collaboration with the staff in Adaptive Services - Student Access Center (SAC), the incumbent will perform a set of administrative functions of a relatively complex nature according to established methods and procedures and clerical functions related to activities in Student Services. In addition, the incumbent will ensure a welcoming environment for students and other visitors to the SAC. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Greet people, schedule appointments, provide information related to services available in the SAC, and respond to general inquiries. 2. Seek out and collect information to be included in correspondence, reports or other departmental documents. 3. Update student files, schedule and supervise exams, and complete forms for government and grant funding. 4. Compile statistics and provide summaries for the Adaptive Services area and the services provided. 5. Complete requisitions, verify work schedules for semestrial staff hired to work in the area of Adaptive Services with the students requiring accommodations, complete forms to ensure tutors, note takers and invigilators in the area are remunerated. 6. Complete administrative tasks related to projects and /or activities of the department as required. 7. Participate in training sessions and professional development activities relating to this population and adapted services as required.
Requirements :
Education Must possess a diploma of vocational studies (DEP) with an appropriate speciality or a secondary school diploma (DES) or have a diploma or an attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent by the competent authority. Experience Must have at least one (1) year of pertinent experience.. Requirements Must be able to communicate proficiently in English and French, but orally and in writing. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. Competencies Diplomatic and discrete Team player Attention to detail Strong organizational skills Ability to work with a student clientele requiring continuous support
Required Tests : Candidates will be required to submit to language tests as well as Word and Excel tests.
Work Schedule : Monday to Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Overtime may be required during peak periods.
Duration of contract : Until the return of the incumbent
Salary Scale : $24.99 - $27.95
