Job Responsibility:

Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Saw Operator for one of our client in Woodbridge, ON. The ideal candidate will have experience in a warehouse environment and be proficient in operating various saws and power tools. This role is essential for the fabrication and assembly of components, ensuring precision and quality in every cut. The Saw Operator will work closely with other team members to meet production goals and maintain a safe working environment.

Duties

• Operate various types of saws, including table saws, band saws, and circular saws, to cut materials according to specifications.
• Utilize power tools and machinery to fabricate components as per design requirements.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings using AutoCAD or similar software for accurate measurements and cuts.
• Measure materials using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precision in fabrication.
• Maintain equipment by performing routine checks, cleaning, and minor repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with carpenters and other team members to build structures or components efficiently.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work area to promote a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with machining processes and CNC operation is a plus.
• Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools related to woodworking or metalworking.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
• A background in carpentry or fabrication is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Forklift certification is a plus but can be obtained after hiring if necessary.
