Job Responsibility:

Concrete Genius Manufacturing is seeking a technical individual capable of high-level abstract thinking to develop the next generation of our OEM process control platform. Concrete Genius manufactures the world’s most advanced and innovative continuous concrete production equipment and concrete SaaS (software-as-a-service). Our cloud-connected process control platform is a key component of this ecosystem, ensuring product performance for and providing business insight to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible to

• develop and improve a cloud-connected continuous process control platform (PLCs, PCs, microcontrollers),
• ensure that the platform meets or exceeds specifications,
• ensure ongoing quality of the delivered platform,
• troubleshoot the platform, and
• collaborate in the design of the platform.

Qualifications

Required

• Excellent English communication skills.
• Excellent critical and higher reasoning skills.
• Understanding of algebra and basic calculus.
• Understanding of physical principals of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Understanding of error propagation.
• Experience programming PLCs.
• Experience with a variety of measurement techniques.
• Experience applying object-oriented programming paradigms.
• Understanding of test-driving development (TDD) practices.
• Understanding of data encoding.
• Basic understanding of computer networking.

Desired

• Experience designing reliable systems that operate over unreliable networks.
• Experience modelling and simulating physical processes.
• Experience designing messaging topic topologies.
• Experience with continuous delivery of software and firmware.
• Experience with streaming data analytics.
